Thanks to fantastically responsive out-of-hours support from one of our colleagues in IS, Stuart Moore, eSearch is now fully operational once again.
A problem has arisen on the Tolstoy server this evening which is preventing users from accessing eSearch. Although the eSearch login screen loads and allows the user to submit U/P details, the web browser then loops before timing out.
Our support colleagues in IS will be able to investigate the issue first thing on Wednesday morning, and I’ll update as soon as the issue has been resolved.
SFX and Citation Linker is unaffected by this problem.
Westlaw reported just before 6pm yesterday that off-campus Athens authentication to Westlaw was working normally again (it did appear to have been working fine for several hours before the official confirmation).
Access to the Land, Life and Leisure service was restored by EDINA overnight and the database is now working normally.
Trial access to International Law in Domestic Courts has now concluded and the listing for the resource has been withdrawn from eSearch. Any remaining feedback on the trial can be sent to Terry Hanstock.
